What we are about
Our mission statement at Shine Lawyers is firmly client focussed. So, we look for staff who are prepared to put clients first. We know that we can only continue to serve new clients if our current clients have positive experiences with us.
One of the keys to our success is teamwork. Unlike most other law firms, we like to get our staff involved in the Firm's direction. So once, sometimes twice a year we close our offices and take all our staff on a strategic planning day. Everyone has a chance to have input and help shape the Firm's future. And of course we celebrate afterwards, with a party to end all parties.
Training
Training is a very important part of the Firm and we dedicate time and resources to ensure our staff are able to perform their jobs with skill and efficiency, and most importantly, be comfortable in their roles. Our training is managed by our HR Department, which comprises our Training and Development Officer, whose primary responsibility is co-ordinating training for new and existing staff on the latest legal practice methods.
In 2002, our efforts in this area were recognised at a training awards ceremony where we were honoured to receive the Medium Employer of the Year award in Southwest Queensland. It's the first time a law firm has made the finals let alone been named a winner, so it's something we are quite proud of.
