Penny is a Senior Solicitor with Shine Lawyers Melbourne, acting for survivors of abuse in their claims for much-needed compensation.

Penny made the decision to work in Abuse Law out of her desire to protect vulnerable people from being abused, often in institutions that turn a blind eye. While studying law at Monash University, Penny volunteered at community legal centres and saw firsthand how gaps in the legal system caused victims to remain stuck in a negative cycle.

Beyond her work in Abuse Law, Penny has experience in Travel Law, as well as Workers’ Compensation and Family Law. She continues to volunteer as a mentor with her local community law centre, providing free legal advice to locals and mentoring law students.
