Dr Benjamin Koh is a distinguished professional who holds expertise in both medicine and law. As a Solicitor in Shine Lawyers' Class Actions practice, he is committed to pursuing justice for everyday Australians who have been wronged by large corporations and governments.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Dr Ben boasts an impressive background. He holds medical registration in Australia, Singapore and the UK and has obtained postgraduate Masters in Sports Medicine, Masters in Psychology, and a PhD. With his extensive medical knowledge, Dr Ben has served as the Chief Medical Officer at two prominent life insurance providers and advised the Life Insurer’s Board on issues, thus further enhancing his understanding of the complexities within the life insurance industry. He was also the medical director of an international medical assistance company; part of this role included dealing with travel insurers and providing advice to blue chip companies.
Dr Ben’s legal experience also includes playing a role in the Roundup (Monsanto) Class Actions and assisting clients on intellectual property law issues for medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
Dr Ben is widely published and has gained recognition for his notable contributions to the field of anti-doping rule violation matters, particularly in assisting athletes both in Australia and around the world. He played a role in shaping the World Anti-Doping Code and assisted athletes impacted by anti-doping rule violations.
