• Diploma of Teaching (Primary and Special Schools), MGCAE
• Bachelor of Education, BCAE
• Master of Education (Special Education & School Psychology), USQ
• Has lived in the Toowoomba area for over 30 years with her husband and two children
• Worked as an educator overseeing programs for children with special needs (disabilities, learning difficulties, ESL, and gifted students)
• Lectured at tertiary level, supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate programs
• Started at the Shine Centre of Learning in July 2008
