A new law firm has opened its doors in Bundaberg offering local residents access to specialist legal advice and a chance to shine a spotlight on injustice.
The Shine Lawyers Bundaberg branch has fitted out the new premises it purchased on Barolin Street and is ready for business.
The visited office is headed up by Katrina Pedersen who said the new Shine branch is being welcomed by the people of Bundaberg.
“The Bundaberg branch is in its early stages and so far we have had a great response from locals,” Ms Pedersen said.
“The concept of Shine’s philosophy to open local branches across Queensland means we are close to the community we serve allowing us to focus on achieving positive results for clients.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this new venture and to be able to offer personal injury legal advice to the residents of Bundaberg and the surrounding areas,” she said.
Shine Lawyers Chief Executive Stephen Roche said Shine’s approach of localising its branches to be closer to the communities it serves has been a winning formula.
“At a time where our competitors are centralising operations, Shine is using a model of placing specialist lawyers into regional areas giving us a local presence,” Mr Roche said.
”Shine is giving everyday Australians access to specialist legal advice in the areas of personal injuries litigation encompassing workplace injuries, motor vehicle injuries, public liability claims and criminal compensation claims.”
Stephen Roche says that while the office is currently visited by Katrina Pedersen, Shine is eager to employ a local lawyer to staff the office full-time.
“We’re a national firm with a local philosophy and we’re keen to get lawyers from the region on board in the Bundaberg office,” he said.
